This is a 1935 John Deere A. It came to us in a partially disassembled state. The current owner of the tractor bought it in this condition. He asked if we could put it into "EXPO" quality condition. We said yes. | |

The governor and fanshaft assembly are removed. The governor is going to be rebuilt. | |
The crankshaft is removed. The rod and main journals are worn. The rods need new babbitt poured and the main bearings are being replaced. The crank is being built back up to specs. | |
This picture shows the first reduction gear cover removed. | |
The crankcase sump is a little cruddy, not to bad. The pickup and filter housing will be removed. The entire main case will be degreased and sandblasted. | |
The final drive is split from the main case. Several bearings in the transmission are bad. | |
The front frame is split from the main case. The steering pedestal is also removed. | |
